Christmas 2009 – Lights & Emacs

Last night, we went to Northwestern Way, where my friend Brent and his family live. People on their street decorate their houses for Christmas. Here are some pictures.

Then this morning, Christmas morning, we sat around the house, and I installed GNU Emacs version 23.1 on my desktop and laptop. I wanted to be able to use Python within Emacs, and just upgrading to the new version was the easiest way to do that.

I realized I was upgrading from version 20.7.1, which came out NINE AND A HALF years ago, June 13, 2000. I’ve been using the same software for that long! The new version seems to work pretty well.
